GrowUp Farms is a B Corp-certified vertical farming organization that constructed their first commercial farm, known as Pepperness, in Kent in 2022. As a rapidly growing enterprise, they specialize in producing high-quality lettuce and supplying it to the UK’s leading supermarkets. Their innovative approach to agriculture emphasizes sustainability and efficiency in food production.

A Logan Solutions initially played a vital role in providing IT consultancy and project management for GrowUp Farms during the Phase1 Build a Pepperness. Our comprehensive engagement ensured that the farm’s technological infrastructure was robust, secure, and tailored to support their operational needs.

• IT Consultancy & Project Management:
We offered expert guidance in the following areas:
o Network Design: Developed a network architecture that maximizes connectivity and reliability across the facility.
o System Integration: Worked with various parties during the build phase to establish communications and facilitate integration of systems
o Selecting a Managed Service Provider (MSP): Assisted in identifying and onboarding a suitable MSP to oversee ongoing IT support and management.

• Structured Cable Installation & WIFI:
Our team of experienced installers carried out the installation of structured cabling and wireless (WIFI) networks to provide reliable connectivity throughout the facility, supporting both Production and operational needs.

• CCTV & Door Access Installation:
We installed a comprehensive security system, including CCTV and door access controls, to ensure the safety and security of the farm premises, assist with traceability and monitor the production environment protecting both personnel and assets.

• Meeting Room Fitouts:
Designed and fitted out meeting rooms to enhance communication between team members and to facilitate collaboration with third parties working remotely.
